 Company Overview

A privately held company, founded in 1999, by Panos Liakis, and headquartered in France, PushMessenger was formed to develop a secure "presence server" that provides a client/server software platform for wired and wireless instant messaging. The server, based on PushMessenger Protocol (PMP), a synchronous TCP/IP protocol developed by PushMessenger, allows organizations to easily implement multi-device, multi-session mobile instant messaging (MIM) solutions using a multitude of interconnected services, including PDAs, wireless devices and PCs.

PushMessenger met its corporate objective by creating a high-performance development environment capable of managing any telecom services as well as any variety of end-user devices. The applications traditionally offered by a presence server, including IM, Push vCard., etc, have then been incorporated into the PushMessenger environment.

After delivering its first PushMessenger server to Hi-Media of France, in June 2001, PushMessengerm in January 2002, joined the Wireless Village initiative within the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), an industry consortium that delivers open standards for the mobile industry.

In November 2002, Alcatel eND ordered a PushMessenger server for integration into a pilot product for its OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Center. Alcatel demonstrated the combined solution on its booth at the 2003 Alcatel Forum in Paris.

In October 2003, during CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainement Expo, in Las Vegas, PushMessenger introduced PushMessenger Corporate Edition - the first enterprise-class IM solution that handles simultaneous multi-device/multi-session presence services for individual users .

In May 2004, Pushmessenger launched in France a chat and instant messaging service named PushChat, powered by its patented, state of art Presence and Mobile Instant Messaging technology and accessible by surfers (www.pushchat.com) as well as mobile phone users (no set-up, no download just a WAP/GPRS connection).

PushMessenger then introduced, in October 2004, PushMessenger ISP/Carrier Edition, its Instant Messaging and Presence Server (IMPS) designed for the mobile operators and ISP market and allowing the convergence of fixed and mobile phones.

In March 2005, PushMessenger was awarded the Jeune Entreprise Innovante (Innovative Young Company) label by the French Ministry responsible for Research for its IMPS server technology.

In 2006, PushMessenger focused on adding new features such as chat rooms, media albums, blogs, friends management. to its solution in order to deliver an ASP platform for mobile 2.0 services (with xHTML and PC clients). Based on PushMessengers IMPS server technology, this platform dedicated to mobile operators and MVNOs that are keen to boost their ARPU is now available.

In February 2007, OSEO-Anvar recognized PushMessenger as Innovating company eligible for FCPI (Fonds Communs de Placement dans l'Innovation - Innovation Mutual Funds).
